Underwater Tomb of King Munmu

Second day in Gyeongju. Bonguilri beach
Deuxieme jour a Gyeongju.

We went to the sea to see the underwater tomb of King Munmu. He was a king of Shilla but not a nobody king. He was the one that united the Three Kingdom, Shilla, Baekje and Goguryo. Before he died he asked to be buried in the sea at the east cost so he would transform into a Dragon and protect his people from Japanese invasion. Cool story right ? This Munmu seemed badass to me. Makes me want to illustrate his story...

The small island you see in the center is the underwater tomb.

The beach ends with rocks which quite beautiful to see the mix between sand and rocks.

Was quite windy that day !

Wishing for my dreeaaam to come true !
In Korea when you do this with rock and it doesn't fall you can make a wish. Same kind of things with falling stars...

Don't these rocks look a bit like vertebral colonn of a sleeping dragon to you ? Maybe it's just me and my wild imagination...
